From a home garage to Leduc's 9,000 ft² gear shop

Grayco Machine is a family business built on one idea: if a customer needs it made, we'll find a way to make it.

Our Story

A jobber shop with big capabilities.

Owner Graham Peterson, a Red Seal journeyman machinist, founded Grayco in 1997. In the early days the shop ran out of the family's home garage, with his kids sweeping chips, cutting stock on the bandsaw and turning bearings on the manual lathe.

Today Grayco runs a 9,000 ft² shop in Leduc's Northern Industrial Park. The equipment ranges from three W.E. Sykes herringbone gear generators to modern CNC and EDM, and the shop still feels like a family business.

We're small enough that you talk directly to the people making your parts, and capable enough to take on the jobs other shops turn away.

The Early Years

Growing with the oil patch

Meet the Team

The people behind the parts.

Grayco is a small shop with a close-knit crew of Red Seal journeyman machinists. The same people quote your job, program it, run it and inspect it, so nothing gets lost between departments.

Between them, the team has decades of experience on everything from classic Sykes gear generators to modern CNC and EDM, and a shared habit of figuring out the jobs other shops won't touch.
